Ember

Privacy Policy

Effective 29 August 2026

The short version

Ember collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server. Everything the app knows about you lives on your iPhone and nowhere else.

What stays on your device

Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is nothing to request a copy of and nothing for us to delete on a server, because no server exists.

Screen Time

Ember uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to shield apps during focus sessions you start yourself. This authorization applies to your own device only. Apple's design means Ember never learns the identity of the apps you block or anything about your usage of them.

Purchases

The one-time lifetime unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Ember receives only Apple's confirmation that the purchase exists — never your payment details, name, or Apple ID.

Third parties

Ember includes no third-party SDKs. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.

Children

Ember is a self-control tool for people managing their own devices. It is not a parental-control product and is not directed at children.
